This publication of The South African Game shows how sport is really organized in South Africa today, and the discrimination which black sportsmen and women suffer from every day of their lives. It shows up the 'multi-national' sports policy for what it is - old wine in a new bottle - and why international recognition is so important for the white sports federations and the South African Government. It also describes the history of black sport, which has been virtually ignored although black people have been playing sport from the 1880s and earlier, as well as the important contribution made by the South African Council on Sport since 1973.
