What does good governance mean to grassroots sport?

Ponchon, C., Schouenborg, J., Kirkeby, M., & Benedicic Tomat, S. (2013). What does good governance mean to grassroots sport?. International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA).

The Good Governance in Grassroots Sport (GGGS) project relied on the key principles of good governance in the EU presented in the 2007 White Paper on Sport and the 2011 Commission Communication on Sport: democracy, transparency, accountability in decision making and inclusiveness in the representation of interested stakeholders. With the GGGS project, organisations and partners came together to respond to the challenges of good governance while at the same time recognising the uniqueness of the sport sector. The project is co-funded by the European Commission DG for Education and Culture under the 2011 Preparatory Action in the Field of Sport.
