Roadmap for improving sustainability in sports

Starting from 2020, 320 sports accommodations have to be made CO2 neutral annually. Since the sports sector’s energy consumption was unknown for 1990, a baseline measurement was performed by the Dutch government in collaboration with the Mulier Institute and CFP Green Buildings. The results act as a reference point for the sports sector’s CO2 reduction ambitions regarding its public and commercial real estate towards 2030 and 2050. How these ambitions will be fulfilled is described in this Roadmap Sustainability in Sports. It thus functions as a plan of action.
