This report aims at introducing the international Classification of Impairments, Disabilities and Handicaps to a large variety of professionals. Its structure follows the manual itself very closely. Its purpose is not to dispense with a study of the manual but rather to concentrate on a methodological analysis and clarification of concepts, with special attention being paid to some frequents misunderstandings. The Classification uses concepts which have only one meaning, thus clarifying scientific debates.
