Ethics in sport management

DeSensi, J.T., & Rosenberg, D. (1996). Ethics in sport management. Morgantown: Fitness Information Technology, Inc..

Ethics in Sport Management provides an extensive examination of moral and ethical concepts, principles, and issues in the administration and organization of sport. Ethical concerns are presented in clear introductory language in three major parts:

  • Part I is a theoretical account where moral concepts and problems are discussed, together with a survey of major ethical principles;
  • Part II deals with personal and professional ethics, social responsibility, and codes of ethics;
  • Part III highlights moral aspects related to the functions of the sport manager, decision making, sport marketing, personnel management, the legal sphere, and other applied areas.
