This volume gathers together a collection of material which both relates to and describes the changing life styles of older people. Far from seeing retirement as a time of disengagement, the contributors see activity as being rewarded and life enhancing. The opening paper reviews the literature relating to leisure and older people and it is followed by a series of contributions designed to exemplify good practice.
