The European Commission and in particular its Directorate General health and Consumer Protection wants to improve public health in the European Union, prevent disease and human ailments and eliminate human health risk factor. The aim of this survey, commissioned by the Directorate General Health and consumer Protection is to study several areas having an impact on the health of European citizens. More precisely, the intention is to use the results of this study to establish the physical characteristics of European Union citizens and assess the opinion of citizens on subjects such as health, diet and physical activity in the form of sport.
